Before Your Visit
What exactly is microshading?
Microshading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that gives you a soft, powdered brow look. It’s perfect for all skin types and lasts longer than microblading.
How should I prep for my appointment?
Come with clean, makeup-free brows. Avoid caffeine and alcohol before your visit – it’ll help you relax and reduce sensitivity.
Will microshading work for my skin type, who is a good candidate?
Yep—Ombre Powder Brows work on most skin types! Whether you’re oily, dry, or somewhere in between, this technique holds up beautifully. It’s especially great if you’re looking for a soft, shaded look that lasts. Not recommended if you’re pregnant, nursing, or have certain skin conditions—but we’ll go over all that in your consultation.
How do we choose the right brow shape?
We’ll design your brows together based on your face shape, bone structure, and natural brow flow. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter brows—this is custom to you. I’ll map it all out first, and you’ll have a chance to approve before we even start.
During Your Appointment
How long does the procedure take?
Your first appointment usually takes about 2-3 hours. We take our time to ensure your brows are perfect.
Does microshading hurt?
I’ll be honest – there can be some discomfort. But don’t worry, we use a topical numbing cream to make it as comfortable as possible. Most clients find it totally manageable.
What happens during the consultation portion of your appointment?
We’ll discuss your brow goals, look at reference photos, and I’ll map out your ideal brow shape. We’ll choose a pigment that matches your skin tone and hair color.
Can I see the design before you start?
Absolutely! I’ll show you the mapped-out brow design and get your approval before we begin. Your comfort and happiness are my top priorities.
After Your Transformation
How long will my new brows last?
Microshading can last up to 3 years, sometimes even 5! But for that perfect look, I recommend a touch-up every 18-24 months.
What's the aftercare routine like?
It’s pretty simple. Keep your brows dry for a week, avoid sweating, and don’t pick at them. I’ll give you detailed instructions to take home.
What should I expect during healing and when will I see the final results?
Your brows will look darker initially and may scab slightly. Don’t panic – this is totally normal! The color will soften and look more natural as they heal.
How soon can I show off my new brows?
Wait about 10-14 days before applying makeup near your brows. I’ll provide specific guidelines to ensure perfect healing.
